31 Love!

I just wanted to take a minute to say how much I appreciate 31.  My goal when I started 4 months ago was to be able to pay for my two daughter's private preschool.  I have now reached that goal and I could not be more excited about what 31 has meant for my family and I.  I see so many great things happening for me with this company!  I only wish I would have discovered it sooner!

How much can I earn with 31??

Thirty-One has released a great new tool called the Income Disclosure Statement!  This is an awesome way to see what your earnings could potentially be with Thirty-One.  Where else could you be making an average of $237,950 a year in just over 4 years and only work an average of 31 hours a week?  Keep in mind that this is just an average.  Some Sr. Executive Director's are making almost a million dollars a year and working part time hours!  Give it a try today.  A $99 investment can get you all of this!

Second Start Swell and Newsletter!

Super excited to have earned my 2nd Start Swell by having 6 parties in 60 days!  I received an awesome cosmetic case, mini catalogs, pens, and notepads.  I have since closed my 7th party and I am only 2 parties away from the 9 that I need by July 23rd in order to earn my 3rd Start Swell.  I am trying to get some parties on the books so that I can earn this....so if you want to host a party and get free stuff hit me up!

Some other exciting news is that I was recognized in my team's newsletter for:  having over $1,000 in sales in the month of May, the most number of parties, qualifying, and for having one recruit.  I still can't believe how easy all of this has been!

In the way of vendor events, I have a Bridal Show coming up in Dallas next month. This is a HUGE show that brings about 6,500 people in two days.  I am hoping for great results there.

That is about all that is going on right now.  Let me know if you want to host a party or join my team!  I am loving this company and the things it is doing for me!

Update on my Thirty-One journey

I have had a lot of things happening since my last blog.  My sister signed up to sell Thirty-One, I submitted one more order bringing my total to 5 and I have two catalog parties currently going on.  The two catalog parties will be my 6th & 7th and will get me my second level of start swell!  This means I will receive a free cosmetic case, mini catalogs, order forms, and notepads.  I am so excited about this opportunity!

This weekend will also be my first vendor event.  My sister and I will have a booth at the Trade Days of Waxahachie on Saturday and Sunday.  My goal is to get at least two bookings.  I have yet to do a home show and really need to get that ball rolling soon.  My catalog party bookings are about to run dry!

Until next time...

Things are picking up!

Yesterday I submitted my 4th order, which put me over my $1,000 and earned me my kit for free!  My friend Erin helped me out so much with this!  She also convinced her sister to have a catalog party as well.  A co-worker also contacted me to do a catalog party.  If both of those parties turn into orders that means that I will reach my second level of Start Swell!

Some other good news is that my sister has decided to join!  Today I mailed off our application to participate in our first vendor show, Trade Days at Waxahachie!  It is a small show, but we are still very excited to get our name out there.  Tomorrow I hope to get our application in the mail for the Affair of the Heart show in Tulsa.  This is a huge show that I think we will benefit from tremendously!

So excited about this journey!

Start Swell!

Well I just completed my 3rd order and earned my first level of Start Swell!!  This means that I have earned a free skirt purse, fitted purse skirt, 25 free catalogs, a personalization swatch set and a pack of nail files!  I am now $220 dollars away from hitting the $1,000 mark and earning my kit for free.  I am a little worried about reaching this since I have NO parties lined up.  I do have two people who are possibly wanting to sign up under me so I am super excited about that.  One of these people is my sister and if she signs up it is going to be so much fun to go through this with her!  I can't wait to see what 31 has in store for me!

FAQ's about becoming a 31 Consultant

I tend to be a very skeptical person, as I am sure most of you are as well.  I thought I would put together a little Q&A about becoming a 31 consultant to help you as you ponder whether this company is right for you.  These are some of the questions that I had while doing my research and I hope you will find them helpful as well.  If you have a question this is left unanswered please do not hesitate to contact me.

1.  Where did the name "Thirty-One" come from?

The name “Thirty-One” comes from Proverbs 31 which talks about a virtuous woman.

"It is hard to find a good wife, because she is worth more than rubies. Her husband trusts her completely. With her, he has everything he needs. She does him good and not harm for as long as she lives. She looks for wool and flax and likes to work with her hands. She is like a trader’s ship, bringing food from far away. She gets up while it is still dark and prepares food for her family and feeds her servant girls. She inspects a field and buys it, With money she earned, she plants a vineyard. She does her work with energy, and her arms are strong. She knows that what she makes is good. Her lamp burns late into the night. She makes thread with her hands and weaves her own cloth. She welcomes the poor and helps the needy…She is strong and respected by the people. She looks forward to the future with joy. She speaks wise words and teaches others to be kind. She watches over her family and never wastes her time.  Her children speak well of her. Her husband also praises her, saying , “There are many fine women, but you are better than all of them.”

Finding out that Thirty-One was a faith-based company really helped me in my decision to become a consultant.

2.  What are the benefits of becoming a Thirty-One Consultant?

I am not good at asking people to buy things.  I definitely do not have a sellers personality.  What I like about thirty-one is that the products pretty much sell themselves.  My first party was just passing around a catalog at work and to my surprise I got 8 orders.  It really was that easy!

You will earn 25% from the items you sell with thirty-one.  If  you have just one average party a month of $500, you will earn $125 from that party.  Of course most people have more than one party a month so you can see how your income can be as much or as little as you want based on the time you put into it.  As you advance within the company that 25% can grow to as much as 34%.  If you choose to follow a leadership path and bring on consultants underneath you, you will begin earning a commission on their sales.

3.  How do I place a Thirty-One order?

If you already have a consultant and you aren’t sure of their website, you can go to the main company page www.thirtyonegifts.com and click on “Find a Consultant”.

You can also view our monthly specials and place an order on my independent consultant website www.mythirtyone.com/ambergoodman

4.  What are the benefits of being a hostess for Thirty-One?

Thirty-One is so good to their hostesses!  By hosting a party with me you will be able to get free items, half-priced items and hostess exclusive items.  Hostess exclusive items are available only to hostesses and at a large discount off the retail price!  You can view the current hostess rewards at the following location:
http://www.mythirtyone.com/content/hostess.aspx

5.  Do I have to sell a minimum amount to remain a consultant?

You have to sell at least $200 in a rolling 3 month period to stay an active consultant.  You will see very quickly that this can easily be done with one party or even a catalog party!

6.  Do I have to recruit new consultants?

This is entirely up to you.  If you feel that you want to take on a leadership role and earn money on the sales of others, then leadership is probably the right path for you.  You will not be pressured into recruiting new consultants.  This truly can be whatever you want it to be!

7.  What kind of support do consultants get from the home office?

The home office provides training on pretty much anything you could want training on.  They help all their consultants so much by posting announcements, training videos, suggestions, etc.  Another thing that I have found very helpful is the "New Consultant Forum".  You are allowed access into a forum made up of people who started with thirty-one the same month you started.  It has been very helpful to me to read some of the questions that other newbies have.  Of course if you can't find the answer to a question, you can always pick up the phone and contact them.  They are always glad to help!

8.  How do I sign up to be a consultant?

Simply visit my thirty-one page at http://www.mythirtyone.com/ambergoodman and click on join my team!

If you have additional questions please do not hesitate to contact me at amber.goodman@att.net.  I would love to help you in any way I can!
